The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has dismissed Sudan’s genocide case against it at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) as a “political farce,” according to Reem Keteit, deputy assistant minister for Political Affairs at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Keteit criticized the case as a “blatant exploitation” of the ICJ, lacking legal basis, and emphasized that Sudan requires immediate ceasefire and commitment to peace talks instead. Sudan accused the UAE of being the “driving force” behind “genocide in Darfur” due to its support for the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) involved in the conflict.

Jordan says 16 arrested over foiled rocket and drone attack plots
