US Jewish organisations oppose Trump’s pick for Kuwait envoy

Several Jewish American organizations have urged President Trump to withdraw the nomination of Amir Ghaleb as Ambassador to Kuwait, accusing him of promoting anti-Semitic views, including justifying Hamas’s actions and supporting a boycott of Israel. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) cited Ghaleb’s history of anti-Jewish rhetoric and expressed concerns about his potential representation in a country with high levels of anti-Semitic attitudes. ADL’s Global 100 poll revealed Kuwait has the second highest levels of anti-Semitic attitudes in the world at 97%, further emphasizing the need for a different candidate to represent US interests in Kuwait.
