This marks only the third time in 30 years that the Indy 500 outperformed the Daytona 500, attributed to Fox’s promotional efforts after acquiring the broadcasting rights. Despite this success, the IndyCar Series faces challenges in viewership outside of the Indianapolis 500 and has struggled with racing quality issues on road and street courses due to hybrid engine changes.
