2024 election updates: Millions have voted early as Trump, Harris sprint to finish

At least 245 National Guard personnel across 18 states and Washington, D.C., have been activated or are on standby, assisting with cybersecurity, law enforcement, and first responders ahead of potential protests on Election Day. Workers are erecting anti-scale fencing around the White House and Treasury Department. Governors in Oregon, Washington, and Nevada have requested Guard units to aid local law enforcement after recent incidents, and in D.C., Guard personnel will assist with fire and medical services from Tuesday through Nov. 13.
