Two poll workers in Missouri, a 70-year-old man and a 73-year-old woman from Manes, drowned after their vehicle was swept off a highway in Wright County during extreme flooding. Their bodies were found at approximately 8:45 a.m. local time. The couple, who were poll workers in the county, were praised for their service to the community by the Wright County Clerk’s Office.
