More than 24,000 entries from photographers worldwide participated in the Nature Photographer of the Year 2025 competition, showcasing a range of emotions from brutality to tenderness. The overall winner, Åsmund Keilen, captured a reflective moment titled “Sundance” near Oslo, while Vladimir Cech Jr. received recognition in the Mammals category for his long-awaited image of a tiger in Sumatra. Other notable works include Dvir Barkay’s touching portrayal of a mother sloth and Bence Máté’s haunting depiction of nature’s rawness in “Silent Scream.” This year’s competition highlights the beauty and challenges of capturing wildlife moments.
