Crews in Dawson City, Yukon, worked through freezing temperatures to repair two significant water main breaks that disrupted the community, affecting schools and local businesses, including the Westminster Hotel. As of Sunday, around 80 homes experienced frozen lines, prompting a boil water advisory for the city. The Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in First Nation is providing water access at designated locations and advising residents on managing frozen pipes. Despite expected weather improvements, further pipe breaks could occur with temperature changes.
