To Be ‘Enforced Strictly’, Vital Services Exempt

In response to escalating pollution, the Delhi government has mandated that both public and private offices operate with only 50% of their workforce on-site, effective Thursday, while essential services are exempt. Labour Minister Kapil Mishra emphasized strict enforcement of work-from-home guidelines and the encouragement of car-pooling. Additionally, to support construction workers affected by a 16-day work halt, a financial aid of ₹10,000 will be provided to registered workers. The government has implemented Grap 4 measures, banning construction and diesel trucks not carrying essentials, while promoting flexible working hours in offices.
