Congress Leader Shamanuru Shivashankarappa Dies at 95

Veteran Congress leader Shamanuru Shivashankarappa passed away at the age of 95 due to age-related ailments at a private hospital in Davanagere. A six-time MLA and former minister, he was the senior-most legislator in Karnataka and known for his contributions to education and community unification. Tributes poured in from various political leaders, including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, who praised his integrity and public service. Shivashankarappa is survived by his three sons, including Karnataka Minister S S Mallikarjun, and four daughters.
