Madani: SC and Centre Affecting Minority Rights

Maulana Mahmood Madani, head of Jamiat-Ulama-Hind, accused the Supreme Court and government of undermining minority rights, claiming recent rulings reflect judicial pressure. He asserted that jihad is a noble duty to combat injustice, while the BJP condemned his remarks as inflammatory and divisive. Madani also reiterated Muslims’ opposition to the national song Vande Mataram, prompting further criticism from the BJP, which emphasized national unity. His comments follow allegations from his uncle regarding persecution of Muslims amidst recent incidents.
