Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has laid off approximately 6,000 employees, around 1% of its workforce, as stated by Chief HR Officer Sudeep Kunnumal, who dismissed rumors of 50,000-80,000 layoffs as “extremely exaggerated.” The reductions primarily affect mid and senior-level positions amid the company’s ongoing adjustments to incorporate AI technologies and respond to market demands.
