The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has initiated an investigation into a Rs 260 crore global cyber fraud, executing searches across various cities. Fraudsters impersonated law enforcement and tech support to extort victims, converting the illicit funds into cryptocurrency and laundering them through hawala networks and individuals in the UAE.
