Air India pays interim relief of Rs 25 lakh to 166 crash victims' kin

Air India has provided interim compensation of Rs 25 lakh each to 147 families of the 229 deceased passengers from the AI 171 crash, with 52 additional claims under verification. The Tata Group established “The AI-171 Memorial and Welfare Trust,” pledging Rs 1 crore per deceased and support for first responders and infrastructure rebuilding.
