Aakash Educational Services Ltd (AESL) has approached the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in Bengaluru to dismiss Byju’s petition and to include consultancy firm Ernst & Young (EY) and partner Ajay Shah in the proceedings, citing a conflict of interest due to EY’s prior advisory roles in contested transactions. AESL alleges that the Resolution Professional (RP), Shailendra Ajmera, is compromised due to his affiliation with EY and failed to disclose relevant associations. EY has refuted the allegations and stated it will defend against any legal actions, while AESL may escalate the issue to regulatory bodies.
