Army duo, porter die as landslide hits Sikkim camp

KALIMPONG/KOLKATA/DARJEELING: Two Army personnel, Havaldar Lakhwinder Singh and Lance Naik Munish Thakur, along with porter Abhishek Lakhada, died when a landslide struck their camp in Sikkim’s Mangan due to heavy rain. Four Army personnel and two family members remain missing, including Lt Col Pritpal Sandhu and his family, as rescue teams continue efforts in difficult conditions. The Indian Army expressed condolences, emphasizing support for the bereaved families during this tragic event.
