RAIPUR: In Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, three villagers were injured in an IED blast, the first attack on civilians since the killing of CPI(Maoist) leader Basavaraju on May 21. The victims, identified as Vivek Dhodi (17), Badde Sunil (20), and Gote Joga (45), were walking to a nearby village when the explosion occurred, leaving them with severe injuries. Authorities promptly dispatched an ambulance to assist the injured, as Maoists continue to pose a threat by planting IEDs in frequented areas.
