Insiders claim that DOGE is expanding Grok’s use, even encouraging Department of Homeland Security officials to adopt it, which may risk exposing sensitive information and giving Musk an unfair competitive advantage in federal contracting. However, a DHS spokesperson denied these claims, asserting that DOGE is focused on combating waste, fraud, and abuse.
