He defended the government’s decision to agree to a ceasefire, asserting that peace is essential and criticizing U.S. President Trump’s claims of mediation, clarifying that India will not negotiate under duress. Tharoor lauded “Operation Sindoor” as well-executed and emphasized that India’s military response was necessary to maintain national security and global sympathy.
