Army foils Pakistan attempts to send swarm drones across LoC

The Indian Army intercepted and shot down over 50 swarm drones during multiple Pakistani attempts to breach the Line of Control and International Borders on the night of May 8-9, 2025. Utilizing advanced weaponry in a counter-drone operation, the Army effectively repulsed the attacks and responded to numerous ceasefire violations along the Western Border. This incident followed India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’, which aimed at targeting terrorist positions in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, resulting in significant casualties among militants and demonstrating the effectiveness of India’s Integrated Counter-UAS Grid and Air Defence systems.
