CHANDIGARH: SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal accused Haryana of attempting to “brazenly loot” Punjab’s water resources, demanding Prime Minister Modi’s intervention in the ongoing water dispute. He criticized Haryana’s claim for increased water from the Nangal dam, asserting that Punjab has already exceeded its allocation and called the demands irrational and a violation of the Riparian principle. Badal emphasized that the Shiromani Akali Dal will not tolerate discrimination against Punjab and urged for justice rather than favors in resolving the issue.
