Omar’s ministers criss-cross states for safety of Kashmiris facing Pahalgam ‘backlash’

Ministers from the Omar Abdullah-led J&K government have been visiting multiple states to ensure the safety of Kashmiris following threats and attacks reported after the Pahalgam terror incident. Key officials, including Deputy CM Surinder Choudhary and Health Minister Sakeena Itoo, have met with state leaders and local authorities to discuss the security of J&K students and residents, especially in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. Amidst rising concerns, the J&K Students Association reported harassment incidents in Haryana, leading to assurances of support from local government.
