BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari claimed that over 400 Hindus were forced to flee Dhulian, Murshidabad, due to communal violence he attributed to the Trinamool Congress’ “appeasement politics.” The violence erupted during protests against the Waqf (Amendment) Act, resulting in at least three fatalities and significant property damage. Adhikari called for the intervention of central forces and local authorities to ensure the safety and return of displaced individuals, criticizing the TMC government for allowing a breakdown of law and order in West Bengal.
