NEW DELHI: Tamil Nadu forest minister K Ponmudy apologized for derogatory remarks he made about women and certain sects of Hinduism, calling it a “lapse in judgment.” Despite facing backlash, including removal from his role as deputy general secretary of the DMK, he remains in his ministerial position.
