Tahawwur Rana extradition: MHA appoints special public prosecutor for 3 years for trial in India

The ministry of home affairs appointed Narendar Mann as special public prosecutor in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks case involving accused Tahawwur Hussain Rana, recently extradited from the US. Rana, a key player in the 2008 terror attacks, was handed over to Indian authorities and will face trial in India. A team will interrogate Rana upon arrival to uncover details about Pakistani state involvement, ISI’s role, LeT’s collaborators, and funding channels, with a focus on security and plans reviewed in a high-level meeting held by home minister Amit Shah and other officials.
