An Indian Navy warship, INS Trikand, provided urgent critical medical assistance to a Pakistani crew member on a fishing vessel off the Oman coast in the Central Arabian Sea. The injured crew member, who had sustained severe hand injuries, was transferred to another vessel en route to Iran, where the Navy’s medical team performed a surgical procedure to address the fractures and heavy blood loss, lasting over three hours. The medical aid was administered by the medical officer of INS Trikand, along with a team of MARCOS and the ship’s boarding team, ensuring the injured crew member received necessary treatment.
