Russia says it reserves the right to resume striking Ukrainian energy targets if Kyiv flouts moratorium

The Kremlin warned that Russia may withdraw from a U.S.-brokered moratorium on striking each other’s energy infrastructure if Ukraine continues such attacks. The United States brokered agreements with Ukraine and Russia to pause strikes on energy targets in hopes of achieving a ceasefire and peace talks. However, both Russia and Ukraine accused each other of attacking a Russian gas metering station, leading to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov suggesting that Russia’s patience with the moratorium is running out.
