Security forces arrest militants linked to valley-based outfits from Manipur's Imphal West & Imphal East

Security forces in Guwahati arrested five militants from valley-based outfits in Manipur’s Imphal West and Imphal East districts, including members of the People’s Liberation Army and PREPAK (Pro). The arrests were made in separate operations in different areas, with one individual from the Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup organization also apprehended. The arrests come amidst ongoing ethnic violence in Manipur, with over 250 casualties and thousands displaced since May 3, 2023.
