North Korea has sent around 3,000 additional troops to Russia to support President Vladimir Putin’s war on Ukraine, according to South Korea’s military. The North has also supplied more missiles and artillery equipment to aid Russia in the conflict, potentially increasing its weapons support in the future. North Korea’s involvement in the war against Ukraine marks its first large-scale conflict engagement since the Korean War, with an estimated 4,000 North Korean troops killed or injured in the fighting.
