US, Russia spy chiefs agree to hold regular contacts

The heads of US and Russian spy agencies, CIA chief John Ratcliffe and SVR head Sergei Naryshkin, have agreed to maintain regular contact to ease tensions in US-Russia relations, marking the first such communication in years. The call aimed to promote international stability and security while reducing confrontation between Moscow and Washington, coinciding with Ukraine’s support for a US-proposed ceasefire and immediate negotiations with Russia. This development follows US President Donald Trump’s efforts to end the Ukraine conflict since taking office.
