India, Malaysia agree to form joint focus group to address non-traditional maritime security threats

New Delhi, India and Malaysia agreed to deepen defence collaborations, focusing on maritime security, multilateral engagements, and defence industry, forming a “joint focus group” to address non-traditional maritime security threats. They also identified plans to enhance cooperation in cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The 13th Malaysia-India Defence Cooperation Committee meeting in Kuala Lumpur discussed expanding bilateral defence engagements and regional issues, expressing satisfaction with the growing cooperation between the two countries.
