7,000 individuals allowed entry into India from Myanmar border after FMR scrapped

Over 7,000 individuals have entered India after verification following the end of the free movement regime along the India-Myanmar border due to increased turmoil in Myanmar and ethnic strife in Manipur. India has established 43 entry points, with 22 currently operational, and is strengthening border security through fencing and surveillance systems to combat smuggling activities.
