Indian JV emerges as sole contender for  billion India submarine deal

ThyssenKrupp and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd have passed trials to construct six advanced submarines for the Indian Navy, making them the sole contender for the $5 billion project, as Navantia and Larsen & Toubro did not meet the navy’s technology standards. Commercial negotiations are scheduled to commence next week.
