In a continuation of ‘Operation Praghat’, the Assam Special Task Force (STF) conducted an operation against a fundamentalist Global Terrorist Organisation (GTO) and arrested the most wanted Jehadi/Islamic Extremist Jaheer Ali from Dhubri. Assam police revealed that during the investigation, 12 clandestine activities, including Bangladeshi nationals, were arrested, and a terror module planning attacks on Hindu leaders was uncovered. The motive behind these actions was to disrupt communal harmony and destabilize the region.
