India joins mega naval wargame La Perouse

The Indian Navy is participating in the ‘La Perouse’ naval exercise with eight nations, including the US and France, in response to China’s military activities in the Indo-Pacific region. The exercise aims to enhance cooperation in maritime surveillance, interdiction operations, air operations, and information sharing in crucial global trade routes. The French Carrier Strike Group, led by the aircraft carrier Charles De Gaulle, is a key component of the nine-day exercise in the straits between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean.
