Indian Army celebrates 77th Army Day with ceremonies at Eastern Command and Robotic Dogs in Pune parade

The Indian Army’s Eastern Command Headquarters celebrated the 77th Army Day at Vijay Durg with General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Lieutenant General Ram Chander Tiwari paying tribute to fallen soldiers. Sixteen units were honored with Chief of the Army Staff Unit Citation, and 45 units received GOC-in-C, Eastern Command unit citation. The event commemorated General KM Cariappa’s appointment as the first Indian Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army in 1949, marking the Army’s contributions to national security and sacrifices.
