Rajnath conveys readiness to help Maldives in boosting defence capability

Defence minister Rajnath Singh expressed India’s willingness to assist the Maldives in enhancing their capabilities during a meeting with Maldives defence minister Mohamed Ghassan Maumoon in the capital. India offered to provide defence platforms and handed over some equipment during the visit, emphasizing bilateral cooperation and joint efforts to address common challenges. Singh highlighted India’s ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy and the vision of SAGAR (Security And Growth for All in the Region) during discussions with the Maldivian minister.
