US plans $8 billion arms sale to Israel, Axios reports

The Biden administration has informally notified Congress of an $8 billion arms sale to Israel, including munitions for fighter jets and attack helicopters. The proposed deal requires approval from House and Senate committees and includes artillery shells and air-to-air missiles. Diplomatic efforts have not yet resolved the ongoing Israeli conflict in Gaza.
