The Pakistan army conducted airstrikes on an encampment in Paktika province of Afghanistan, alleging it was a TTP training camp, a charge denied by the Afghan Taliban. The Taliban claimed those killed were mostly women and children. The army’s frustration with the Taliban’s failure to address concerns on Baloch separatism and TTP violence is evident, despite their historical support for the group.
