In 2024, security forces in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province killed 270 terrorists, including high-profile militants with bounties on their heads, and arrested 802 suspects, leading to a significant rise in the conviction rate in terrorism cases. The report also highlighted the sacrifice of 149 police officers killed and 232 injured in the line of duty, as well as the arrest of 221,470 suspects through the registration of 211,828 FIRs, with 67,983 suspects arrested in 12,601 search and strike operations under the National Action Plan.
