Centre forms committee under Defence Secretary to look into Air Force's overall capability development

Amid rising air power threats from China and Pakistan, the Indian Air Force faces a shortage of fighter aircraft. To address this, the Defence Ministry has formed a high-level committee led by Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh. The committee aims to enhance the Air Force’s capabilities through indigenous design, development, and acquisition projects, with a report expected in the next two to three months.
