Russian President Vladimir Putin has hailed the Oreshnik hypersonic missile as a game-changing advancement in global defense strategies, stating that its deployment could reduce the reliance on nuclear weapons. Capable of carrying both conventional and nuclear warheads, the missile was first used in an attack in Dnipro, Ukraine, on 21 November. With speeds exceeding Mach 11 and a MIRV configuration enabling precise targeting of multiple sites simultaneously, the Oreshnik poses a significant threat to any potential adversary.
