India to get indigenously designed nuclear attack submarines by 2036: Navy Chief

India is set to receive its first domestically designed nuclear attack submarines by 2036, as confirmed by navy chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi. The government’s approval for two submarines demonstrates confidence in India’s capability to produce complex defense platforms, with plans for a total of six submarines. These submarines, equipped with conventional weapons, will enhance India’s naval capabilities and join a select group of nations with similar capacity.
