55 Rohingyas among 675 illegal immigrants apprehended in Tripura in 2024: BSF

In 2021, the BSF’s Tripura Frontier detained 675 illegal immigrants, including 55 Rohingyas, seized large quantities of contraband such as cough syrup, ganja, and yaba tablets, and conducted various operations to maintain border security with Bangladesh. Additionally, the BSF has actively engaged in combating insurgency, preventing trans-border crimes, and fostering harmony among local communities, as highlighted during a border coordination conference with the BGB. The organization continues to prioritize coordination with state authorities and other security agencies to safeguard borders and promote peace along the border.
