India starts exporting Pinaka weapon systems to Armenia

India has begun supplying highly capable Pinaka rockets to Armenia amidst global interest in indigenous multi barrel rocket launchers (MBRL). The deliveries coincide with the supply of Akash air defence missile systems to Armenia. The Pinaka rocket launchers, with variants capable of striking targets over 80 Kms, were contracted two years ago and mark India’s efforts to expand its defense exports to countries like Armenia.
