India has completed successful flight-tests of the guided Pinaka weapon system, evaluating parameters such as ranging, accuracy, consistency, and rate of fire for multiple target engagement. The Defence Ministry stated that the tests were conducted in three phases at different firing ranges, testing twelve rockets from each production agency. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh praised the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Army for the successful validation trials, noting that the induction of the Guided Pinaka Weapon System will enhance the Armed Forces’ artillery firepower.
