The Indian Navy will conduct a pan-India coastal defence exercise, ‘Exercise Sea Vigil’, on November 20-21 to evaluate the readiness of maritime security agencies, identify strengths and weaknesses, and enhance the nation’s maritime defence framework. The exercise, in its fourth edition, will involve the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and a large number of ships and aircraft, spanning an unprecedented scale with participation from six ministries and 21 organizations. ‘Exercise Sea Vigil’ is a national-level initiative led by the Navy to provide a comprehensive assessment of India’s maritime defence and security capabilities.
