Post Office and Fujitsu employees were aware of the flaws in the Horizon IT system yet falsely claimed it was error-free, leading to the wrongful prosecution of nearly 1,000 sub-postmasters from 1999 to 2015. A public inquiry has called for compensation for victims and oversight of redress schemes, highlighting the devastating impact on those affected, including at least 10 suicides.
