Top seed Alexander Zverev won decisively against Daniel Altmaier at the BMW Open in Munich, with a score of 6-3, 6-2, converting four of six break points in a match lasting 80 minutes. Zverev aims to equal Philipp Kohlschreiber’s record of three titles in Munich, having previously won in 2017 and 2018. Meanwhile, second-seeded Ben Shelton advanced to the quarter-finals after defeating Botic van de Zandschulp 7-6(7-1), 6-3, and will face Italy’s Luciano Darderi, who triumphed over Miomir Kacmanovic.
