Youth sentenced to 75 years in jail for raping minor girl in Malappuram

The fast-track special court at Manjeri sentenced a 23-year-old man to 75 years in prison and a fine of ₹6.25 lakh for sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl for over a year. The case was registered against K. Nuhman from Muthuvallur, and if he fails to pay the fine, he will face an additional 11 months of imprisonment. The court also ordered compensation to be given to the survivor under the victim compensation scheme through the District Legal Services Authority.
