Siphsihle Mabena, a gold medalist in javelin and shot put at the Gauteng Sports for the Physically Disabled Youth trials, is set to compete in the SA Sports Association for the Physically Disabled in March 2022, with hopes of international competition by 2025. Coach Aubrey Mathibela of the Kwa-Thema Disabled Sports Club is working to secure the necessary accreditation and funding for Mabena to compete on the international stage, supported by businessman Jabulani Kubheka and Willie Msomi.
